Cardi B did not hold back when responding to Joe Budden’s recent comments about her career and his ongoing criticism of Drake.

Tensions exploded on Thursday, July 18. Joe Budden, on his podcast, claimed Cardi B would never release another album after her 2018 debut. Instead, he predicted she’d stick to releasing singles, mentioning her latest collaboration with Rob49.

Budden didn’t stop there. He suggested that Cardi’s husband, Offset, probably wants her to release an album. He likened it to having a partner who stays home too much, causing a stir with his colorful language.

This didn’t sit well with Cardi B. She took to X Spaces to air her grievances, accusing Joe of taking drugs and being a constant critic. “I gave you a lap dance two times in Starlets. You was high as f*** on coke,” she blasted.

Cardi didn’t appreciate Budden’s commentary on Drake’s $400 million deal with Universal Music Group either. She argued Budden had become a “hater,” criticizing any success within the industry.

Budden initially vowed to never cover Cardi’s music again. However, he eventually extended an apology, denying her drug allegations and claiming he just wanted an album from an artist he loves.

Despite the drama, Cardi assured her fans that new music is on the way. She expressed gratitude for the anticipation surrounding her next album, promising it would drop this year.

In the end, Cardi B made it clear she wasn’t backing down. Joe Budden’s critique might have sparked a fiery response, but it only fueled the anticipation for her upcoming music even more.
