It all hit the fan when professional boxer Ryan Garcia went on an unexpected racist tirade on social media, and the reactions have been blazing hot ever since.

Ryan Garcia, a Mexican-American athlete, sent shockwaves through the sports world last week. During an X Spaces broadcast, he unleashed a series of disturbing racial slurs targeting both Muslims and Black people. He even went as far as to say, ‘I hate n-ggas. I’m anti-Black. I’m KKK, n-gga. I hate n-ggas.’ His shocking statement about George Floyd, ‘Let’s go bring George Floyd back to life and kill that n-gga,’ left everyone in utter disbelief.

Since the outburst, Garcia has apologized, but that hasn’t stopped the torrent of criticism. Concerns about his mental health and possible drug abuse have only intensified. On an episode of ‘It Is What It Is,’ hosts Cam’ron and Ma$e didn’t hold back their thoughts. Murda stated, ‘This is a real sensitive issue when it comes to Ryan, because when you see Ryan doing the things that he’s doing, part of it could be trolling, but it’s starting to come across as a mental breakdown. I wish he [could] get some real, serious help, and it’s sad that he made so much money so fast, because the money is actually working against him.’

Meanwhile, Killa was blunt and unforgiving. ‘I don’t even want to hear rehab, n-gga. Go bring George Floyd back to life to kill the n-gga again — come on, my n-gga, come on. I’m just trying to figure out what the fuck do you get out of that trolling if that’s your ‘excuse.’ Trolling for what? There’s really, really no coming back from that type shit […] A doctor’s note at this point ain’t going to get it. That’s not going to get it, my n-gga.’

The backlash isn’t limited to the music world. Meek Mill chimed in via Instagram Stories, questioning Garcia’s mental state. ‘Doing anything for money can mess your brain up and now you really broke-n,’ he wrote. ‘This life ain’t for everyone it’s cool to be normal and smart!’ And former NBA player Stephen Jackson also let loose. In a video posted to Instagram, he slammed the boxer for his offensive comments. ‘First you go from taking steroids, then you talking about digging George Floyd up and killing him again? Now you talking about you hate n-ggas and you wanna join the KKK? Look, dawg, you need to get some help, bro, because we don’t play by the same rules that you play by in that ring, dawg.’ He added, ‘Anyone that gotta bring up the dead is dying inside. You a clout chaser. That’s all you are. You’re looking for attention.’

Jackson didn’t mince words, advising Garcia to stick to boxing. ‘You trying to live a life that you didn’t grow up in. You’re not that, Ryan. Okay? You a boxer. Stick to that, bro. Keep George Floyd’s name out your mouth. If you wanna join the KKK like you said on Clubhouse, go ahead — just don’t fuck with us and don’t expect us to fuck with you.’

The fallout from Ryan Garcia’s social media rant is far from over. With voices from both the music and sports worlds condemning his actions, it’s clear that his words have left a lasting impact. Whether this incident will lead to lasting changes for Garcia remains to be seen, but for now, the backlash continues to grow.
