GS9 is apparently not what it used to be. Brooklyn OGs are buzzing with talk that Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel have had a falling out over an NBA YoungBoy affiliation. To make matters worse, Bobby reportedly can’t even pass through certain neighborhoods anymore. It seems their tight-knit bond is cracking.
OG Product reflected on Bobby Shmurda’s past sacrifices, including taking more prison time for Rowdy. He cited this as a poor decision since Bobby had better career prospects that could’ve benefitted both of them. The plan was for them to do time together and come out stronger, but things didn’t go as expected. Product added that Bobby even took down all his pictures with GS9 from Instagram.
As key members of the GS9 collective, this alleged rift is disheartening for fans. Rowdy had previously addressed Shmurda’s comments about King Von, saying, “I cud never beef with my brother Bobby. He freed me from a whole bid. But yu other n***as hurd what I said. I SAID WHAT I SAID.” However, Bobby was only responding to Rowdy’s reflections on the Von beef, making it a tangled web of misunderstandings.
Bobby Shmurda shared his feelings about Rowdy’s comments, saying, “I felt like that s**t came out wrong. He meant it in a good way, like that he wished that none of that s**t would’ve happened because he’s a fan of both. But sometimes, you can’t talk on other people’s s**t. Period.” He explained Rowdy’s perspective, acknowledging it’s sometimes better to keep emotions in check and avoid commenting on sensitive issues.
Meanwhile, Bobby Shmurda has other possible rap beefs to worry about, including one with Rick Ross. This reported issue with Rowdy Rebel adds another layer of mystery. Despite the tension, fans hope for answers soon. After all, they did too much for the Brooklyn drill scene to see this duo reach a disappointing end.
The situation is definitely heated, but there’s hope that Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel can resolve their differences. They’ve done a lot for their scene, and it would be a shame to see their partnership end on such a sour note.
