Big Sean and The Alchemist first teamed up on ‘Palisades, CA,’ from The Alchemist’s 2023 album with Larry June, ‘The Great Escape.’ Their recent studio sessions hint at more joint efforts on Sean’s forthcoming album, which has already sparked curiosity among fans.

Earlier this year, Sean’s vlog showcased studio footage that included cameos from notable artists like Tyler, The Creator, Timbaland, Hit-Boy, Lil Yachty, Charlie Wilson, KAYTRANADA, and The Internet’s Syd, suggesting diverse collaborations for the new album.

Though details about the album remain scarce, Sean announced it would be ‘coming soon’ during his Tiny Desk Concert for NPR in March. At the concert, he also debuted ‘Get Up,’ a song dedicated to his son Noah, who turned one last November.

Sean’s recent single ‘Precision’ features a sample from Three 6 Mafia’s classic ‘Poppin’ My Collar,’ demonstrating his knack for reinventing old hits. Meanwhile, Sean’s collaboration with Proof’s son NASAAN has also drawn attention, with NASAAN revealing their strong friendship and his significant contributions to the new album.

NASAAN shared his admiration for Sean, explaining how their relationship has evolved from idolization to friendship. He described his integral role in curating and brainstorming ideas for Sean’s project, confidently asserting that the album should be out by late summer.

As fans eagerly anticipate the drop, Big Sean’s snippets, collaborations, and cryptic posts are building the excitement for what promises to be an impressive next chapter in his musical journey.
