Big Sean has made a major career move by signing with a new management company, S10 Entertainment, leaving behind Roc Nation after a decade-long partnership.
Billboard broke the news that the Detroit rapper, who is gearing up for his new album Better Me Than You, has joined S10 Entertainment. S10 is run by Brandon Silverstein, who is thrilled to have Big Sean on board.
Big Sean shared his excitement about the change, saying, “Brandon shares the vision, understands where I’m headed, and I’m incredibly excited to work with him and the S10 team.”
Silverstein also expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Big Sean is an incredible talent who, even after topping charts, breaking records, winning awards and headlining across the world, is just getting started. I can’t wait for fans to hear the new music.”
Interestingly, S10 is partly a joint venture with Roc Nation, making this move less surprising. Avex USA is another recent investor in the company.
S10 Entertainment also manages other talents like Myke Towers and Madison Bailey. In fact, they’ve been promoting their partnership with Big Sean since early July, even calling him “S10’s Big Sean” in an Instagram post on July 4.
Big Sean is busy preparing for the release of Better Me Than You, which is set to drop on August 9. A trailer for the album, featuring graphs that represent different emotions he experienced, was released on July 18, just a day after an album leak.
In a new clip, he explained the graphs, saying, “When I was making this album, I was going through I felt like the same four emotions, really… I sat down and I drew this chart one day that just represented how I was feeling.” He further elaborated on how these charts brought his album to life.
Big Sean’s career is taking an exciting turn with new management and his upcoming album. Fans eagerly await what’s next.
