Azealia Banks has jumped into the heated drama between Ice Spice and her former friend Cleotrapa, and she’s definitely picked a side.
Earlier this week, Cleotrapa took to TikTok with a five-part series accusing Ice Spice of mistreatment during her Y2K! Tour. She claimed she was promised care but ended up without proper accommodations, like a dressing room and food.
Ice Spice’s manager responded in tweets blaming Cleo and her team. This didn’t sit well with Banks, who immediately voiced her support for Cleotrapa on social media, vowing to treat her properly at her Halloween show at Terminal 5. Banks promised Cleo the royal treatment, saying, ‘She can have 50 different styles of chicken salads. It’s whatever she desires.’
Banks was also critical of Ice’s manager, James Rosemond Jr., calling him out for his response to Cleo’s allegations. She labeled his involvement as ‘ghetto, low class, and a huge sign of having zero skin in the game.’ She even took a personal jab, suggesting he focus on getting Ice some filler for her smile lines.
In Cleo’s TikTok series, she detailed more grievances, including being denied access to Ice’s dressing room and told to change in a bathroom. According to Cleo, the tour team refused to pay for her chicken salad. She said, ‘This girl was really mad at me for saying something about that luggage. She don’t want nobody to say nothing to her. She tried to lowkey torture me.’
Cleo also suggested that Ice invited her on tour to ‘clean up’ her image after a previous fallout with another friend, Baby Storme. Meanwhile, Ice Spice took to X Spaces to address the claims, expressing her disappointment over the situation. She said, ‘The scary part of fame, honestly, is when somebody feels like they can no longer use your platform or they’re not getting exactly what they want… That’s when they decide to crash out every single time.’ Ice framed her intentions as good, noting she wanted to provide Cleo with extra space on the tour.
However, Ice accused Cleo of leaving out many positive experiences from the tour, like their fun trip to an amusement park. Clearly, there’s more to the story than meets the eye.
