In a bold twist of events, TraxNYC, the jeweler embroiled in a lawsuit with 50 Cent, took to the rapper’s old neighborhood in South Jamaica, Queens to carry out a peculiar stunt.
TraxNYC, whose real name is Maksud Trax Agadjani, arrived in Queens armed with bars of silver allegedly worth over $50,000, as seen in a video shared on Instagram.
In an unexpected move, Trax presented his giveaway as a gesture ‘a kilo for 50,’ directly addressing the legal conflict between him and the rap mogul.
He attempted to resolve the matter publicly, saying, ‘I don’t need your image. Your videos are down. I hope we could call it a day in a respectful manner like two grown men.’
Trax didn’t hold back, suggesting that 50 Cent focus on larger issues, adding, ‘You’ve got better things to do. You got Diddy, you got baby oil. You got everything you need, man. What do you need me for?’
Despite his efforts to make peace, a local resident quickly interrupted, urging Trax to leave, which he did without hesitation.
The backdrop of this saga is 50 Cent’s $5 million lawsuit against TraxNYC, accusing the jeweler of using his likeness without permission to sell imitation jewelry.
Before the court action, 50 Cent had warned Trax on social media, foretelling regret over his actions.
Interestingly, Trax had previously flaunted his imitation wares online, even making light of 50’s iconic style, and addressing the rapper directly.
In response, a representative for 50 emphasized the seriousness with which the rapper views unauthorized commercial use of his image.
Whether this silver stunt will ease tensions or further escalate the conflict remains to be seen. For now, the saga adds another glittering layer to 50 Cent’s ongoing drama.
