2Pac’s murder suspect Keefe D made a dramatic courtroom outburst, alleging evidence tampering.
During his hearing, Keefe D targeted former LAPD detective Greg Kading, accusing him of mishandling evidence over 15 years.
“Greg Kading had them boxes in his house for 15 years doing TV interviews,” Keefe D claimed. “Them boxes should not be allowed…it is tainted evidence.”
Keefe D stated that Kading broke a proffer agreement and the law, saying, “They just used something in them boxes! From 1996. They not only ugly on the outside, but they ugly on the inside.”
The disputed evidence includes audio recordings of Keefe D talking to Kading in a 2009 police interview about his role in 2Pac’s murder.
Keefe D claimed that during this interview, Diddy offered him $1 million to kill Suge Knight and 2Pac amid their 1990s feud.
He also alleged that Diddy paid half the money to Eric “Von Zip” Martin after 2Pac was killed in 1996.
Keefe D argued that his statements were protected by a proffer agreement, which Kading claims only applied when the information was confidential.
Keefe D has openly discussed his involvement in 2Pac’s murder in various interviews and his 2019 book, “Compton Street Legend,” admitting to being in the car during the fatal drive-by shooting.
The judge said it is undecided what evidence, if any, will be excluded from the trial.
Keefe D and his team need to file a motion to exclude the tapes as evidence.
The judge has yet to decide on Keefe’s bail request as authorities trace the source of his $750,000 bond.
Keefe D, 61, grabbed headlines earlier with claims that he went undercover to implicate Diddy and Von Zip in 2Pac’s murder.
Despite being mentioned 77 times in legal filings, Diddy has not been subpoenaed or indicted in connection with 2Pac’s killing.
Keefe D pleaded not guilty to 2Pac’s murder, and his trial is set to begin later this year.
