Last month, West Philadelphia was rocked by the tragic death of rapper YBC Dul, who was killed in a drive-by shooting. The community has been in mourning since the incident.

Recently, 16-year-old Aiden Waters was arrested, accused of the fatal shooting. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Waters faces a raft of serious charges, including murder, arson, causing catastrophe, conspiracy, and gun crimes.

Authorities reported finding Waters’ getaway car burned, but they still managed to retrieve crucial evidence from inside.

In addition to the murder of YBC Dul, Waters is also accused of shooting into a car filled with teenagers last month. This attack left two teens injured and one dead, resulting in five counts of attempted murder being filed against him.

Moreover, Waters is believed to be linked to a separate shooting that occurred just hours before YBC Dul’s murder. In this earlier incident, a 43-year-old man and a 14-year-old were shot in the abdomen and leg, respectively. Both victims survived.

Following the tragic loss of his son, YBC Dul’s father took to social media to offer some clarity. He confirmed that his son, Abdul Vicks, was murdered while sitting in the back of his car and not, as some rumors suggested, while riding a bike.

His father pleaded to stop spreading false news and misinformation about his son’s death. “I wanted to clear up any confusion,” he wrote, adding credibility to the events that unfolded.

The arrest of Aiden Waters marks a significant development in the tragic murder of YBC Dul, bringing some answers but still a lot of pain for the community.
