The drama between Kendrick Lamar and Drake took a wild turn when WWE’s New Day tag team decided to hit below the belt during a live show in Los Angeles.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, the infamous duo known as The New Day, didn’t hold back on WWE Raw’s first Netflix episode. As they stirred the crowd in Kendrick’s hometown, they threw shade at the Compton rapper, ensuring their comments were heard loud and clear. “Think about it: for the last six months, y’all have been elevating this trash rapper Kendrick Lamar,” Woods declared, prompting a wave of boos from the audience.

Kingston jumped in with less-than-kind words, saying, “Yeah, boo him! We think he sucks, too. Boo him! So you’re not mad at us, you’re mad at Kendrick Lamar because Drake won the beef,” which only fueled the crowd’s uproar.

This isn’t the first time the rap battle between Kendrick and Drake has found its way into the wrestling world. Last year, iconic wrestler Shawn Michaels playfully invited the feuding artists to settle their differences in the ring. Michaels, known for his ‘Sweet Chin Music,’ even offered to mediate, following Kendrick’s lyrical nod to his move in the diss track, “Not Like Us.”

Despite The New Day’s effort to twist the tale, the earnings tell a different story. Billboard revealed that Kendrick’s diss tracks have raked in impressive figures, making him the apparent victor in the financial ring. Songs like “Not Like Us,” “Like That,” “Meet the Grahams,” and “Euphoria” accounted for the majority of the $15.4 million generated in streams and sales, dominating nearly 87% of the pie.

In contrast, Drake’s releases, “Family Matters” and “Push Ups,” have contributed just a fraction, rounding up to a little over $1.9 million. Kendrick’s hit “Not Like Us” alone topped the charts, pulling in $7.6 million, with “Like That” adding another $4.6 million.

The wrestling ring might be buzzing with claims of Drake’s victory, but the numbers suggest otherwise. Kendrick’s tracks continue to bask in their commercial success, underpinning his prowess in this lyrical showdown.

While WWE’s New Day spins a tale favoring Drake, the statistics clearly highlight Kendrick Lamar’s triumph in their ongoing feud. His music stands tall financially, even amid wrestling’s theatrical antics.
