SZA’s ‘SOS’ has rocketed back to the number one spot on the Billboard 200, thanks to her ‘Lana’ deluxe edition. This album, originally a hit in 2022, soared back to the top with a fresh release adding 15 new tracks to the mix.

The deluxe version amassed a whopping 178,000 equivalent units, largely attributed to these new additions. Had ‘Lana’ been released on its own, it still would have led the Billboard 200 charts with a massive 105,000 units—5,000 more than its nearest competitor this week.

SZA’s return to the summit marks a 22-month gap since ‘SOS’ last held the top position, making this a record for the longest time between trips to number one for the album. Impressively, ‘SOS’ has stayed in the top 20 since its debut nearly two years ago.

In a heartfelt Instagram Story, SZA thanked her fans, saying, “If it wasn’t for God’s favor over my life this year, boyyy.” She expressed gratitude for her family’s health, awards won, and milestones achieved, like singing on Sesame Street and touring the world.

Adding to the excitement, SZA shared with her followers on X, formerly Twitter, that more new songs and updates to ‘Lana’ are on the way in early January. “Just got word all updated mixes and new songs will be added Jan 6th,” she announced, building anticipation among her fans.

Meanwhile, discussions around a potential joint album with Kendrick Lamar stirred fans on social media. A clip on SZA’s Instagram Stories sparked speculation, with fans calling for more collaborations between the two artists, known for their undeniable chemistry.

Looking ahead, SZA and Kendrick Lamar are set to co-headline the Grand National Tour, kicking off in April 2025. The 23-date tour spans North America, including major cities like Atlanta, Chicago, and the pair’s respective hometowns, Los Angeles and Minneapolis.

SZA’s ‘SOS’ and ‘Lana’ editions remain unstoppable on the charts, with more music and exciting collaborations on the horizon!
