Pusha T couldn’t hold back his excitement as he confirmed the completion of Clipse’s new album. Speaking with Ari Melber at Miami Art Week, he said, “We always take long, people be mad. [But] it’s okay ’cause it’s done. I’m telling y’all, it’s done. I promose you. It’s in my phone.” Fans everywhere can finally heave a sigh of relief, knowing that the wait is over.
Despite being away for 15 years, Pusha insists that the new album will allow fans to witness true greatness in street Hip Hop. He stated, “You will get to see how street Hip Hop matures.” With such a bold promise, expectations are naturally sky-high.
The chemistry between Pusha T and Pharrell is evident as Pharrell takes the reins as the album’s sole producer. “This is a chemistry, this is a brotherhood. And when I say that, I mean Pharrell as well. He produced it from top to bottom,” Pusha explained. Indeed, the duo is known for their meticulous approach to producing music.
In a strategic move, Clipse has signed with Def Jam to release their new project. This decision marks a fresh start as their previous albums were released under different labels.
The anticipation grows as little is known about the album’s content except for the involvement of Pharrell and the appearances of notable artists like Nas and John Legend. As Pusha puts it, “This music is curated. This is a high taste-level piece of work.”
Pusha and Malice are keen on showcasing authenticity and evolution with “Let God Sort Em Out.” Malice added, “It’s what rap should look like if you’re real about your craft, real about your experience, real about your storytelling.” This album aims to bridge the gap between their roots and the inevitable growth as artists.
With the album in Pusha T’s phone, fans can’t wait to experience Clipse’s evolution firsthand.
