Get ready for some musical magic as Top Dawg Entertainment gets set to light up Watts, Los Angeles, with their annual Christmas concert and toy drive.

This December, the Nickerson Gardens neighborhood will come alive with performances from SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, and more. It’s a two-day event promising unforgettable tunes and holiday cheer.

The concert, happening on December 12 and 13, will feature not only music but also a toy drive. To gain entry, attendees can bring unwrapped toys, new clothes, shoes, and other items for donation.

Excitement builds with the promise of “special guests,” who have in the past included the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna. Who might surprise us this year?

Day two shifts the focus to community. It’s a “giveback” day filled with fun activities like youth sports, a raffle, and even barbering services. A jobs fair offering employment and reentry paths for ex-offenders rounds out the day.

This event is about more than music. It’s a chance for TDE to give back to the community it grew from. Both TDE founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and artist Jay Rock hail from this area.

Celebrating its 20th year, TDE continues to make waves in the music industry with recent hits from artists like SZA and ScHoolboy Q. Though Kendrick Lamar has left to pursue his own projects, the label’s momentum is unwavering.

Fans are eager for new music, with whispers of forthcoming albums from Isaiah Rashad and Jay Rock. A special 20th-anniversary compilation could see the return of Black Hippy, adding to the anticipation.

TDE’s Christmas concert is about spreading joy and making a difference. Whether through the music or by helping those in need, this event is set to leave a lasting impact.
