Here’s the latest twist in the ongoing saga surrounding Diddy—his former bodyguard, Joseph Sherman, is suing for defamation.
Sherman’s lawsuit is a direct response to serious allegations made by Thalia Graves. She accused both Sherman and Sean Combs, better known as Diddy, of rape back in 2001. What’s more shocking, Graves claims there’s footage of the incident, allegedly sold for profit.
Joseph Sherman, however, finds these accusations to be pure fiction. He was dismissed from his role as a bodyguard in 1999, two years before the alleged assault. In a firm denial, he stated, “Plainly said, the Plaintiff, Joseph Sherman, was not even allowed into Bad Boy records studios or near Sean Combs after 1999.”
Backing Sherman’s stance is his attorney, Darnell Crosland, who described Graves’ allegations as “outrageous” and “untrue.” Crosland argues that these claims are reckless and damaging to his client’s reputation.
Sherman went as far as to share text messages with NBC New York, where Graves appears to propose an agreement. The texts show Graves suggesting she would omit Sherman from her legal claims, but only if he testified on her behalf. While this paints a vivid picture of manipulation, Sherman firmly denied knowing Graves at all and rejected her claims of any incriminating videos.
In a tangled tale of allegations and lawsuits, Sherman’s legal action throws yet another curveball. Only time will tell how this drama unfolds, but for now, skepticism hangs over Graves’ shocking claims.
