Tyler, The Creator is fully soaking up the love for his latest album, ‘Chromakopia.’ Fans can’t get enough of it, and it’s no wonder the album soared straight to the top of the Billboard 200. Tyler took to Instagram to thank his listeners, whether they enjoyed it, skimmed through it, or even turned it off. ‘I really appreciate any ears,’ he noted.

‘Chromakopia’ didn’t just debut at No. 1; it also gave Tyler the biggest opening week of his career. Notably, it secured the second-highest rap album debut this year, trailing only Travis Scott’s ‘Days Before Rodeo.’ Despite being released on a Monday, Tyler’s album defied the odds with a stunning 299,500 equivalent units sold.

A mix of on-demand streams and album sales powered this feat. Of these, 157,000 units came from streams alone, spanning an impressive 212.55 million. Meanwhile, 142,000 units were sold as albums.

Adding a touch of fun, Tyler shared his favorite moments from each of the 14 tracks, offering fans a peek behind the curtain. ‘At 1:54 of ST CHROMA, that siren and low end together feels like a blast wave after an explosion,’ he excitedly shared.

Tyler continues to reveal quirks and personal notes from the album. A particular part of ‘RAH TAH TAH’ was born from one of his jokes. ‘Why not record it?’ he muses. Meanwhile, ‘JUDGE JUDY’s bridge has become his personal favorite, showcasing everything he’s implemented over time.

He then gushes over ‘STICKY’ and the strategic use of brass instruments, creating a powerful climax with a whisper from Wayne right before the crescendo.

In his closing words, Tyler extends a heartfelt thanks to his fans, appreciating their time and attention, and sharing his joy at this stage in his life with them.

‘Chromakopia’ hits all the right notes, leaving Tyler fans eager for more.
