Boosie Badazz, the Baton Rouge rapper, is reaching out for assistance from Donald Trump following the announcement of Trump’s return to the Oval Office. Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, faces legal troubles that have him seeking a presidential pardon.

Earlier this year, Boosie faced re-indictment in a federal gun case in San Diego, just weeks after a previous dismissal. His legal battle intensified as the case was brought back to court, and Boosie made a public appeal to Trump’s confirmed account on the social media platform X.

“@realDonaldTrump CAN U PARDON ME ON MY FED CASE?” Boosie posted, clarifying that he is a non-violent felon. He emphasized a prior court ruling that, according to him, deemed the charges unconstitutional. Yet, he finds himself indicted once again, as the ruling was appealed and the case re-instated.

The rapper’s troubles began in June 2023 when he was detained in San Diego. The incident occurred right after a separate gun case against him was dismissed. However, federal authorities revived charges, including felony possession of a firearm and the transportation of firearms across state lines.

Crucially, Boosie’s social media activity landed him in deeper trouble. Posts on Instagram Live showed him allegedly handling a firearm, which led to further legal scrutiny, considering his status as a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms.

Boosie’s re-indictment in July came with additional charges, particularly for possessing a gun while under the influence of a controlled substance. Authorities are determined to press these charges, aiming to confiscate any firearms involved in the alleged offenses.

If convicted, Boosie faces a considerable prison sentence of up to 10 years. The ongoing legal pressure has prompted him to publicly request Trump’s intervention, hoping for relief from the looming penalties.

Boosie Badazz remains entrenched in a challenging legal fight, seeking pardon from an unexpected ally.
