Lil Durk jumped into the acting world with his appearance on ‘Power Book II: Ghost’, and fans are buzzing. But how did he measure up against Yung Miami’s cameo on ‘BMF’?
A fan caught a snippet from episode 9 of the fourth and final season of ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ and shared it on X (formerly Twitter). In the clip, Durk is seen as a party guest delivering a few lines of dialogue. One viewer captioned it, “God bless Lil Durk but this n-gga cant act to save his life [three crying laughing emojis] #PowerGhost.”
However, the post ignited a wave of responses, with many lauding Durk for doing better than Yung Miami in her ‘BMF’ cameo. Even Lil Baby’s acting skills were dragged into the debate. One user wrote, “Alr relax you acting like this was Yung Miami bmf acting type bad, he did as expected.” Another chimed in, “He acted better than yung mami and lil baby nem tho.”
The Shade Room also shared the clip on Instagram, drawing similar reactions. Comments ranged from “Ngl he did better than baby and yung Miami” to “He did better than Caresha did on BMF.” Even Durk’s longtime girlfriend, India Royale, humorously added, “It’s giving Denzel. Idk.”
In contrast, Yung Miami’s acting in ‘BMF’ was widely panned. Portraying Deanna Washington, she delivered what was supposed to be a heartbreaking scene. Instead, her fake crying turned into a comedic moment for many viewers. One person tweeted, “Caresha had me screaming on BMF last night. She’s mad funny.”
Yung Miami didn’t stay silent amid the criticism. She replied to a tweet with a side eye emoji, writing, “It wasn’t funny lol.” Despite her response, the trolling persisted. Comments like “Caresha please get acting lessons” and “This scene in #bmf may be the worse acting I’ve ever seen. This shit look like a #tubi movie” flooded social media.
One user even quoted her line from the show: “Meech where’s my husband,” followed by numerous laughing emojis. The trolling seemed relentless, but it highlighted just how hard it can be to nail an acting debut. Meanwhile, Lil Durk has yet to address any comments about his performance.
The acting arena can be a tough nut to crack, and both Lil Durk and Yung Miami have felt the heat from fans. While opinions are divided, one thing is clear: jumping from music to acting is no easy feat.
