50 Cent is back at it with a new potential docuseries, this time setting his sights on none other than embattled NYC Mayor Eric Adams, who’s facing serious bribery and fraud charges.

Posting a video on Instagram of Adams awarding the Bad Boy boss the key to NYC last year, 50 Cent stirred the pot. The honor has since been revoked due to sexual assault allegations. 50 questioned if there’s more to the story, stating, “This shit is getting crazy out here! Do you want a docu series on Eric Adams? 🤷 I want to know what the fvck is going on here.”

The charges against Adams are no joke. He’s facing five criminal charges related to over $10 million in illegal campaign contributions. The allegations include wire fraud, conspiracy, solicitation of a contribution from a foreign national, and bribery. If convicted, he’s looking at some serious prison time. Adams is the first sitting NYC mayor to face such charges.

At a press conference held on September 26, Adams urged New Yorkers to reserve judgment until they hear his defense. He also insisted he would not resign, promising to continue his duties for the 8.3 million citizens he’s been elected to serve.

50 Cent has had a history of criticizing Adams. Recently, he poked fun at the mayor on Instagram after the indictment news, stating, “Oh shit, 😲 what the fvck did you do Eric? I never saw the active mayor of NY get indicted.”

50 Cent’s criticisms are not new; he’s previously slammed Adams for a policy proposal to give migrants pre-paid debit cards. “WTF mayor Adams, call my phone, I don’t understand how this works,” he wrote earlier this year. He even suggested Donald Trump might be the answer to such issues.

Things took a turn when Adams personally reached out to 50 Cent to explain the reasoning behind the controversial pilot program. After the call, 50 admitted that Adams seemed to be on point and aware of the issues at hand. However, he then directed his questions to Governor Kathy Hochul, asking about the funds being allocated for migrant support and emphasizing, “NOT MY TAXES!”

Whether or not 50 Cent will follow through with the docuseries remains to be seen. One thing is certain: the drama surrounding Eric Adams is far from over, and 50 Cent is not letting it slip by unnoticed.
