Gunna seems to have taken the news of his verse being cut from Future’s fresh track “Told My” in stride.

The song, which rolled out as part of Future’s latest mixtape Pluto, originally had a leaked version in March 2023, featuring Gunna. On release day, it was a solo track, leaving many fans puzzled.

Amid the buzz, Gunna jumped onto Instagram, likely commenting on the verse’s absence. “Its not Personal it’s just business,” he posted to his story, sparking conversation amongst fans.

Gunna wasn’t alone in facing this feature fakeout. Travis Scott also appeared in a teaser for “South of France,” shared via his social media. To fans’ surprise, he too was missing from the final album track.

Future’s Mixtape Pluto marks his first solo mixtape in eight years, following a celebrated run in the mid-2010s. This is his third project of 2024 alone, following the collaborative efforts We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You with Metro Boomin.

Future dedicated the mixtape to his late mentor and relative, Rico Wade. On social media, Hendrix expressed his deep affection and gratitude, acknowledging Wade’s pivotal role in his life and career.

Wade, a third of the legendary production team Organized Noize, and famed for working with OutKast, Goodie Mob, and other Dungeon Family members, passed away at 52 earlier this year.

The cover art for Mixtape Pluto features the iconic Dungeon Family house, illuminated in a purple glow. This house, tied closely to Rico Wade, hosted early works of OutKast and Goodie Mob in its basement studio, famously known as ‘The Dungeon.’

Gunna’s reaction adds another layer to the story of Future’s Mixtape Pluto, highlighting the dynamic and sometimes unpredictable nature of music collaborations.
