Cardi B is stirring the pot after being sued for allegedly skimping on the rental fee for the mansion used in her ‘Like What’ music video. She’s got some serious receipts to counter these claims!
The lawsuit, demanding $35,000, alleges that Cardi and Offset, who directed the video, schemed to use the luxury Beverly Hills mansion without forking out the full market value. The complaint also mentions they pretended it was for a TikTok video.
Cardi slammed these allegations on X (formerly Twitter), saying, ‘We paid those people $10,000 IN CASH to rent the property for a whole 24 hours… There was cameras all over and both the realtors and the owners was there the ENTIRE time.’
She went on to post screenshots of text messages between herself and Offset, along with proof of a $4,500 transaction to the realtor. Cardi emphasized that the rental agreement never mentioned a TikTok video, and questioned why it would take 24 hours to film one.
The mansion in question, previously rented by Justin Bieber and featured in a Logan Paul music video, was allegedly used for 25 hours, including an extra hour for which overage fees were paid. ‘IRON YOUR BEST SUIT BITCH I’ll see you in court!!!!’ Cardi fiercely added.
This legal drama follows closely on the heels of Cardi giving birth to her third child with Offset, amidst their ongoing divorce. The pair recently welcomed a baby girl, though they haven’t revealed her name yet.
Cardi B is geared up for a courtroom battle, armed with receipts and ready to face the lawsuit head-on.
