In a move that seemed inevitable, Eminem is treating his fans to more content. He took to Instagram moments ago to announce an expanded version of “The Death of Slim Shady.”
The news came with a quirky trailer where Eminem confidently strolls into a deserted convenience store, headed straight for the refrigerated section. The cashier, played by The Alchemist, watches on.
Eminem, true to his unpredictable nature, slashes open a milk carton, letting it spill everywhere. The camera zooms in to show a missing poster of Slim Shady, wearing the iconic Jason Voorhees hockey mask from the “Tobey” music video.
As he leaves the store, Uncle Al hilariously shouts, “Get the f*** out of here! Don’t come back!” The camera then focuses on a surveillance monitor, where you can hear, “They don’t pay me enough for this s***,” adding to the humor of the scene.
Then, the feed cuts to reveal the title of the album along with the words “EXPANDED MOURNER’S EDITION.” It’s confirmed: a deluxe version is on the way, dropping on the auspicious day of Friday the 13th, specifically this Friday, September 13.
Eminem’s Instagram caption read, “MISSING: SLIM SHADY ‼️ Have you seen him? 👀 #TheDeathOfSlimShady Expanded Mourner’s Edition drops this Friday the 13th…” No hints yet about new tracks or features, but this weekend is poised to be much more exciting.
