At the recent Me & Halo podcast, Halo, the young son of rapper 2 Chainz, wasted no time diving into the juicy stuff with Latto.
The eight-year-old bold question, “Um, is it true you got beef with Ice Spice?” left everyone in stitches. Latto, clearly taken aback, tried to hold back her laughter, “Oh my God, here we go,” she exclaimed.
2 Chainz, equally surprised, chuckled and exclaimed, “Halo, what in the world?!”.
Despite the unexpected question, Latto handled it like a pro. With a smile, she explained, “Let me tell you something, Halo. I don’t got a problem with nobody ’cause beef is a different thing, you feel me? That’s a whole different type of conversation. I ain’t got no beef with nobody, I don’t got a problem with nobody for real. *laughs* I ain’t got no problem with nobody for real, for real, it ain’t like that.”
2 Chainz couldn’t help but joke about Halo being “messy” on a show about love, wondering where his son got such information. Meanwhile, Latto’s composed response put the rumors to rest, showing there’s no bad blood between her and Ice Spice.
Latto’s stance supported her earlier Billboard interview where she mentioned that while friendly competition is fun, she doesn’t see it escalating to serious beef. Ice Spice echoed similar sentiments during a Rolling Stone interview, suggesting the whole idea of any real feud was just a misunderstanding.
It’s clear that both artists respect each other’s work and that any perceived tension is more playful than personal.
