Milo Yiannopoulos, Kanye West’s ex-chief of staff, has reignited controversy by providing alleged ‘proof’ that the rapper is struggling with an addiction to nitrous oxide.
Yiannopoulos, who worked for Kanye between 2022 and 2024, shared a series of text messages purportedly between Kanye and his dentist, Thomas Connelly. In these messages, Connelly seemingly agrees to supply the rapper with nitrous oxide at his request.
In one shocking message, Connelly even expressed an interest in legalizing nitrous oxide for recreational use and devising a system for its delivery. Yiannopoulos posted these texts to X (formerly Twitter), pointing out that they were sent to Kanye’s then-residence, Chateau Marmont, a location notorious for celebrity overdoses and suicides.
However, Connelly’s camp quickly responded. A spokesperson denied these allegations, calling them false and motivated by personal grievances. They emphasized that Connelly has never engaged in reckless or illegal conduct.
Despite the denials, the accusations did not stop. Yiannopoulos filed a sworn affidavit with the California Dental Board, claiming Connelly charged Kanye over $50,000 a month for substantial amounts of nitrous oxide. Yiannopoulos also accused Connelly of pitching himself to run Kanye’s Yeezy company and proposing a ‘personal use N²O² system.’
It gets wilder. Yiannopoulos alleged that Connelly moved into the same apartment building as Kanye and was seen hauling large tanks of nitrous oxide into Kanye’s wife Bianca Censori’s apartment. The affidavit included a claim from Yeezy employee Eric Cui, suggesting that Kanye had suffered permanent brain damage due to prolonged nitrous oxide abuse.
Yiannopoulos pointed to a worrying video where Kanye addresses boxer Ryan Garcia while seemingly using nitrous oxide. ‘Ryan Garcia, this Ye. I’m on the nitrous,’ Kanye says in the clip, which quickly went viral.
Therefore, these shocking claims have led to an investigation by the California Dental Board. Even though Connelly has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, Kanye has remained silent on the matter, leaving fans and the media speculating on the truth behind these allegations.
