Dr. Dre is known for his music, but now he’s setting his sights on something entirely different: the 2028 Olympics. After rocking the stage with Snoop Dogg at the 2024 Olympics closing ceremony, Dre has a new goal in mind.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dre shared his ambition to compete in the upcoming Olympics. He wants to take up archery, a sport he dabbled in during junior high. ‘I’m dead-ass serious,’ he told interviewer Nischelle Turner.

Dre’s passion for archery was reignited when his son bought him a setup, which he has installed in his backyard. He practices at a distance of 90 feet, surpassing the Olympic qualifying distance of 77 feet.

‘Wouldn’t that be interesting to go, especially with it being here in L.A., and win the gold medal?’ Dre mused. His determination is clear, as he concluded, ‘I feel like I can do anything.’

Turning back to music, Dre and Snoop Dogg are working on their new album, ‘Missionary.’ Dre calls it ‘some of the best music’ he’s ever created. He compared it to Snoop’s debut album ‘Doggystyle,’ but emphasized the maturity in their new work.

Dre added that the studio vibes are incredible, thanks to the talented musicians and writers involved. Both he and Snoop are excited about the November release, which coincides with the 31st anniversary of ‘Doggystyle.’

Dr. Dre’s Olympic dreams and musical endeavors show that he’s always ready to take on new challenges.
