The Weeknd is back, turning Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights into a haunted spectacle as part of his latest album rollout.
From September 5 through November 3, fans can experience a haunted house featuring music curated by The Weeknd and producer Mike Dean. The event is part of the final chapter in The Weeknd’s ‘Nightmare Trilogy.’
Previously, The Weeknd hosted an ‘After Hours Nightmare’ haunted house at Universal in both Orlando and Hollywood in 2022, bringing his ‘After Hours’ album to life. This time, the Canadian superstar is taking it a step further.
Back in early 2022, The Weeknd hinted at a new trilogy with his album ‘Dawn FM.’ On social media, he made it clear, stating, ‘I wonder… did you know you’re experiencing a new trilogy?’
At the beginning of this year, he teased fans even more by posting cover art for his last two albums, ‘After Hours’ and ‘Dawn FM,’ with a question mark suggesting a third and final installment.
In a May 2023 interview, he mentioned he was ‘getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter,’ hinting that the album he’s working on might be his last as The Weeknd. He’s kept fans on their toes with teasers and cryptic messages.
In August, he released a teaser titled ‘Unprepared certainty…,’ featuring animation that sent fans into a frenzy of theories. The clip showed a young version of the singer in various eerie settings, sparking endless speculation.
Two more teasers followed in quick succession, adding to the anticipation. ‘There Are Three Chapters To This Tale’ and ‘The abyss gazes also into you…’ were released in July, further building excitement and curiosity among fans.
With so much hype and mystery, The Weeknd’s haunted house and the final chapter of his album trilogy promise to be an unforgettable experience.
