Guess who’s changing diapers again? Yup, at 44, The Game is all set to welcome another bundle of joy! During his appearance on the Tacos & Shawarma podcast, the rapper cleared the air on rumors about expecting twins, confirming he’s expecting just one child.
When host Elle asked about the twin rumors, The Game clarified, ‘Twins is… yeah, you gotta stay off the internet. I’m expecting one child.’
Discussing the joys and challenges of being an older dad, The Game mentioned JAY-Z as his inspiration. JAY-Z welcomed his first child, Blue Ivy, at 42 and had twins five years later. ‘I’m 44, so when my new child is 21, I’ll be 65. And that seems kinda old until you start thinking about who’s 65 now,’ he said. ‘I don’t know how old Mariah Carey is, but she has to be, like, 10 years older than me. Or JAY-Z or somebody like that.’
‘Their next big birthday is probably 60. They’re still out here looking young and looking cool, so it ain’t that bad. But at the end of the day, it’s new life.’
Reflecting on his younger years, The Game admitted, ‘When I was younger, I was still a hardhead in the streets. I don’t know how I even made it to this point in my life doing the things that I was doing. But I made it, my kids are all fine, smart, straight-A students, so it’ll just be interesting to parent at this age.’
Although he didn’t mention the mother of the unborn child, The Game has always been open about his love for his kids. He named his eldest child Harlem Caron Taylor, who was born in 2003, after a significant moment in his life. His other son, King Justice, was born in 2007, and his daughter, Cali Dream, in 2010.
‘Happy Birthday son (@harlemtaylorr), you were & always will be the motivation I needed to alter my lifestyle & become something better than I ever was before your birth. Thank you,’ he wrote on Instagram for Harlem’s 19th birthday.
In the same interview, The Game revealed he’s working on ‘The Documentary 3,’ aimed for a January release to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut album.
‘I’m definitely gonna start the new album and I ain’t told anybody that,’ he shared. ‘But yeah, The Documentary 3, I’m gonna go in hard and I’ma drop it the same day that the other one dropped. I’m up for the challenge. It’s gonna be tough.’
So, as The Game gears up for new fatherhood at 44, he finds solace in his inspirations and looks forward to the journey ahead. And of course, fans can also look forward to his upcoming musical project!
