Kanye West, never one to shy away from controversy, is stirring the pot once more with his new album ‘Vultures 2,’ a collaboration masterpiece with Ty Dolla $ign. The album’s lyrics are sending shockwaves through the industry.
After multiple delays and false starts, the album dropped on August 3, and fans were quick to notice some intense callouts.
In the concluding track ‘MY SOUL,’ Kanye takes direct shots at Adidas. He expresses his disdain with lines like: “We mass targeted, mass marketed, mass incarceration/ Mass in police stations, mass incorporated, fuck Adidas.”
Kanye doesn’t stop there. On the track ‘530,’ he seems to take a swipe at Drake. The lyrics say: “You a fake bitch, you don’t really love Ye bitch, go listen to Drake bitch.” It’s a clear dig at his longtime rival.
But it’s not just Adidas and Drake feeling the heat. Kanye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, isn’t spared either. In ‘HUSBAND,’ he raps: “Neighbors know this shit get out of hand, but they smile/ ‘Cause you been so long without a man.” He later adds, “You know that’s where they at, Beverly Hills/ You know that’s where they at/ I don’t really wanna go back to that.”
Kanye’s history of airing grievances continues. Back in March, after his song ‘Carnival’ topped the Billboard Hot 100, he went on an Instagram tirade. In the since-deleted post, he didn’t hold back, expressing anger at Adidas and others. He wrote: “Rich Ty Carti and the supporters that stood by us through everything This number #1 is for you. It’s for the people who won’t be manipulated by the system.”
He also vented against various fashion houses and media entities, highlighting his ongoing frustrations with the industry. His comments were sharp, targeting entities like the Daily Mail and fashion figures such as Gabby and Hailey Bieber.
Kanye’s message was clear: he feels wronged by many in the industry, including Drake. His post concluded with a jab at Drake for collaborating with Lil Durk on his tour, a move Kanye evidently didn’t appreciate.
Kanye West’s ‘Vultures 2’ is more than an album; it’s a powerful statement against his perceived adversaries.
