Cardi B isn’t holding back her thoughts on President Joe Biden running for reelection.
The rapper doubled down on her claim, calling Biden ‘selfish’ for seeking a second term. Cardi shared her opinion on social media, expressing that the Democratic party should have given Vice President Kamala Harris the chance to run.
In the video posted on Twitter, Cardi B said, ‘I feel like it was very selfish of Biden and the whole Democrat party … that they allow Biden to continue to run for president. I feel like they should have passed the torch to Kamala. This was the perfect moment for her. Right now, I don’t feel like we have strong candidates.’
She continued, ‘I feel like this would have been her perfect time to shine. We already know she’s sharp with the [expletive] mouth. Whatever value that Biden wants, she’s practically the same value. So I feel like it was a little bit selfish to not make that choice to give her this moment to run for presidency.’
A user on Twitter retweeted the clip, adding, ‘So Cardi was making sense all along but y’all was down talking her just coz of her accent? Interesting.’ Cardi B then responded, ‘Yeup Yeup Yeup.’
Although Cardi B has expressed doubts about voting for Biden, she remains firmly against supporting the Republican party. In May, she made it clear that she wouldn’t vote for either Biden or Trump in the upcoming election.
When a fan suggested she might have turned Republican, Cardi B quickly replied, ‘I will never turn Republican lol.’
Talking to Rolling Stone, Cardi B shared her disappointment with Biden’s presidency. She said, ‘I don’t [expletive] with both of y’all [expletive].’ Moreover, she stated that Biden’s term left her with ‘layers and layers of disappointment.’
Cardi B elaborated, ‘I feel like people got betrayed. It’s just like, damn, y’all not caring about nobody. Then, it really gets me upset that there are solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any [expletive] thing.’
