However, the couple’s celebration comes amidst ongoing legal troubles. Earlier this year, T.I. and Tiny were sued for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a woman back in 2005. Despite the lawsuit, the pair are determined to have the case dismissed, arguing that the statute of limitations has expired and denying any wrongdoing.
The plaintiffs, identified as Jane Doe, filed the lawsuit in January. She accused T.I. and Tiny of sexual battery, assault, negligence, and false imprisonment, describing an incident at a nightclub and hotel in Los Angeles. She claimed that Tiny tampered with her drink, leading to a series of events where she found herself in a hotel room with the couple, where inappropriate actions took place despite her objections. The woman described being in severe pain and confusion the following morning, noting that the statute allows her to file due to California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act.
T.I. and Tiny have vehemently denied the allegations, labeling the lawsuit as an extortion attempt. They are seeking to have the case dismissed with prejudice, which would prevent Jane Doe from refiling.
