In a recent turn of events, ScHoolboy Q and SiR’s shows in Toronto were unexpectedly canceled, and TDE’s MackWop isn’t holding back on the reasons why.

According to MackWop, the cancellations happened at a venue linked to Drake. The DJ, who has worked with Top Dawg Entertainment artists like ScHoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar, expressed his frustration on his YouTube show The Apollo.

MackWop said, “That n-gga SiR got his show canceled in Toronto, no cap. SiR got his show canceled at the same venue that we was gonna perform at. Word around town is Drake is in cahoots with this venue. He designed the whole venue, he probably got a little equity in the venue. I’m not sure.”

He continued, “But any n-gga that was on that Pop Out stage, they’re getting canceled. What I’m suggesting is: nobody perform at the History ’cause they will cancel your show if Drake don’t like you. I think that’s janky.”

MackWop also hinted that Blxst might face similar issues, saying, “Not only did they cancel SiR’s show, they canceled that n-gga Blxst’s show. Allegedly. I’m just hearing the whispers in the grapevine. Q’s show was sold out. SiR’s show was sold out.” Blxst is set to perform at Toronto’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre History on October 28, with tickets going on sale soon.

The DJ also mentioned DJ Scheme playing Kendrick’s Drake diss track “Not Like Us” at the venue, implying that the tensions might have contributed to the show’s cancelation. “If they knew them n-ggas weren’t fucking with Drake, they would have canceled that show,” MackWop stated.

Earlier this month, ScHoolboy Q expressed his anger on social media after his Toronto show was abruptly canceled. “They just cancelled my sHow in TORONTO… CANADIAN POLICE DONT WANT NOBODY FROM TDE PERFORMING,” he wrote. He also issued a warning referencing the rivalry between Kendrick and Drake’s camps: “[I]f we wanted to get yall we would’ve just did it.. now when sumbody get Hurt don’t cry.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Drake seemed to troll Q by posting a selfie wearing blue slides, hinting at Q’s song “Blue Lips.”

SiR’s show was the next to go. Apologizing to his fans, the R&B singer announced, “So sorry to my Toronto fans. The show has been cancelled. We’re working on rescheduling for a later date.” He explained that the cancelation was the venue’s decision: “For those wondering, we sold that show out. It was cancelled by the venue. Not sure why. My apologies again to those that came just to see me.”

Q jokingly responded to SiR’s news, “HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAA TAKE YO ASS HOME BOY.. SING ON THE BUS ITS OVA WIT.” SiR replied with a crying face emoji, “They DON’T like us.”

As tensions rise between TDE and Drake’s camp, fans in Toronto are left wondering if future performances will face the same fate. Stay tuned.
