Chief Keef has postponed his A Lil Tour trek, causing disappointment for fans eager to see him live.
On Tuesday, July 16, just hours before the tour’s first show in Boston, Chief Keef announced a major setback. Due to a medical emergency, the entire 17-date tour is being rescheduled.
Live Nation issued a statement from Keef, expressing his regret about the sudden change. The rapper explained, “To my fans, I’m so sorry to announce this, but due to a medical emergency, I’ve been ordered to stay home to recover, so I have to postpone the tour.”
Tickets purchased for the original dates can either be refunded or used for the rescheduled shows. Keef assured fans, “I intend to be back on the road soon. Thank you, I love y’all.”
On his Instagram Story, the “Faneto” rapper reiterated his need to postpone the tour for health reasons, saying, “Be on the road real soon!”
Chief Keef’s A Lil Tour was eagerly anticipated, having been announced in May alongside his new album Almighty So 2 featuring guest appearances from G Herbo, Lil Gnar, Tierra Whack, Quavo, and Sexyy Red.
The collaboration with Sexyy Red isn’t new. They’ve worked together on several tracks, including “Grape Trees”, “Ghetto Princess”, and a remix of “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad).”
In an interview with Billboard News, Keef talked about why he and Sexyy Red vibe so well. He said, “Shit. I just know she fuck with me real heavy. I fuck with her too.”
This sudden change has undoubtedly left fans disappointed, but Keef’s health comes first. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to seeing him return stronger and ready to perform.
Chief Keef’s loyal fans will be eagerly awaiting his return, hoping for a swift recovery and another chance to see him live in concert.
