Boosie Badazz is fuming after learning he’s been re-indicted on gun charges, calling the prosecutor ‘racist.’
Boosie Badazz is not having a good time. While vacationing with his family, the rapper got a call from his lawyer with bad news: he’s been re-indicted on charges of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon. The Baton Rouge native is also facing an additional charge related to drug use and firearms.
This isn’t the first time Boosie has faced these accusations. The case had just been dismissed, and now, less than two weeks later, he’s back in hot water. Prosecutors are pushing hard, even aiming to seize all firearms and ammunition involved in the alleged offenses. If convicted, Boosie could face up to 10 years in prison.
Boosie’s outrage spilled onto social media. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to vent his frustrations. ‘IM ON VACATION WITH MY FAMILY MY LAWYER CALL ME N SAY THIS FEDERAL PROSECUTOR M. WHEAT HAS INDICTED ME AGAIN ON THE SAME CHARGE N ADDED A CHARGE THAT I WAS A DRUG ATTACK AROUND. A ATTACK AROUND A FIREARM SMH,’ he wrote. He questioned why the new charges weren’t included the first time around and accused the prosecutor of making a spectacle out of his situation.
Boosie didn’t stop there. He accused the prosecutor of being a racist, saying, ‘IF I WASNT BOOSIE THIS WOULD NOT BE HAPPENING TO ME. THIS SAME MAN LOOKED AT ME SAID “WIPE ME DOWN” ON MY FIRST COURT APPEARANCE lol HES OBSESSED.’ He also called for a presidential pardon, claiming, ‘THIS MAN DOSENT RESPECT THE LAW. TELL A PRESIDENT PARDON THIS BULLSHIT.’
The rapper’s gun troubles date back to June 2023 when he was arrested in San Diego right after another gun case was dismissed. Initially, prosecutors wanted to keep Boosie in custody until his trial, but he was bailed out. The charges were then dismissed, only for him to get re-indicted shortly after.
Boosie’s frustration is evident, and the case appears far from over. His social media rants have added an even more dramatic layer to this ongoing legal saga. Whether his accusations of racism hold any merit will likely unfold as the case progresses.
Only time will tell how Boosie Badazz’s legal battles will unfold, but one thing is certain: he’s not backing down without a fight.
