Childish Gambino, also known as Donald Glover, has been keeping himself busy in the studio, and fans got a sneak peek of what’s coming next.
In a recent Instagram post, the 40-year-old artist shared a video of himself and longtime collaborator Ludwig Göransson working on new music. While the details of their conversation remain a mystery, Gambino did say, ‘Everything now is like— y’know, less people play instruments, so like everybody’s just using their voice and they’re filling it up with a bunch of reverb.’
The video, which has been making rounds on social media, shows Göransson playing back a snippet that is likely to feature on Gambino’s upcoming project. This collaboration hints at exciting things on the horizon for his fans.
Just last month, Glover dropped ‘Atavista’ without any prior announcement, signaling what appears to be a busy year ahead in terms of new releases. This recent release is a revamped version of the 3.15.20 album, complete with official song titles, reworked tracks, and fresh contributions from Young Nudy and Summer Walker.
Gambino has also revealed that his next album, ‘Bando Stone In The New World,’ will be his last under the Childish Gambino moniker. The album, set to release this summer, is also the soundtrack for a film he is developing with the same name.
In addition to his new music projects, Glover is gearing up for The New World Tour, which will span 58 dates across North America, Europe, and Oceania from August 2024 to February 2025. Here are some of the tour dates: Aug 11 in Oklahoma City, OK at Paycom Center; Aug 12 in Kansas City, MO at T-Mobile Center; and many more.
Fans can look forward to more updates as Gambino continues to innovate and surprise with his upcoming releases and projects.
With new music, a final album, and an extensive tour on the horizon, Childish Gambino is set to make 2024 an unforgettable year for his fans.
