YFN Lucci will not be taking the witness stand in Young Thug’s ongoing RICO trial. This decision was confirmed in court when the prosecution, responding to the judge’s inquiry, stated, “At this juncture, we do not believe he will be testifying.”
Despite being listed as a potential witness, Lucci had previously refused to testify. His attorney made it clear, saying, “Any party can announce, for example, that Abraham Lincoln is on their witness list, but those words alone are meaningless. So, to be 100 percent clear, Rayshawn Bennett (YFN Lucci) will not be a witness in the YSL case.”
Lucci found himself embroiled in this case after accusations that Young Thug ordered a hit on him. Lucci was stabbed in jail in 2022, allegedly by two YSL affiliates.
Commenting on his refusal to testify, Lucci stated on social media, “Even in an earthquake we wouldn’t break n-gga know we solid #Free650.”
Lucci is not the only notable name absent from court appearances. Gunna is also on the list of high-profile individuals not testifying in this significant trial. Initially, the prosecution planned to call over 700 witnesses, but the judge has dramatically reduced this number.
Other potential witnesses like Lil Wayne and Young Thug’s brother, Unfook, have also been removed from the list. Birdman remains a potential witness, and Rich Homie Quan has been subpoenaed. There’s speculation that although Quan has given a police statement, he may not give direct evidence against Young Thug in court.
Currently, Young Thug faces serious charges, including conspiracy to violate the RICO Act, participating in criminal street gang activities, and multiple drug and weapons offenses.
As the trial unfolds, the absence of key witnesses like YFN Lucci and Gunna adds another layer of complexity to this already high-profile case. All eyes remain on the courtroom as Young Thug battles these substantial charges.
