NBA YoungBoy’s cat might just have the scoop on its owner’s jail release. Over the weekend, the cat’s Instagram page, @NeonCeline, shared a Story suggesting the rapper could be home as soon as next month.
On June 1, a post on @NeonCeline, an Instagram account for NBA YoungBoy’s cat that boasts over 94,000 followers, featured a photo of the rapper with the text: ‘This time next month my dad will be home [shh emoji].’ This post has left fans speculating about the accuracy of the information, especially since the account has previously been questioned for its authenticity.
The confusion doesn’t stop there. The photo was also watermarked by an individual claiming to be the rapper’s biggest fan, which has led to speculation that the account might have been hacked. The uncertainty remains high about whether the projected release date is genuine.
NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, was charged back in April with 63 counts related to identity fraud, forgery, obtaining a prescription under false pretenses, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, a pattern of unlawful activity, and possession of a controlled substance. In early May, KUTV reported additional charges, including possession of a firearm by a restricted person and two counts of obtaining a prescription without permission.
The affidavit provided details on the alleged scheme. It described a suspect calling in a prescription, claiming to be a real doctor and using a fake patient name and birthdate to obtain Promethazine with Codeine. After these prescriptions were called in, they were allegedly picked up by NBA YoungBoy or his ‘Known Associates.’ The rapper even allegedly impersonated a doctor but raised suspicion by mispronouncing ‘asked’ as ‘axed.’
Shortly after posting a $100,000 bail set during a court hearing, the rapper was booked into another jail in Utah, where he remains without the option to bail out. His arraignment is scheduled for July.
The information shared by the cat’s Instagram account has not been officially confirmed, leaving fans to take the potential release date with a grain of salt. Meanwhile, the speculation adds another layer to the ongoing saga of NBA YoungBoy’s legal troubles.
With his arraignment set for July, only time will tell if the cryptic message from NBA YoungBoy’s cat holds any truth. For now, fans remain on edge, waiting to see if the rapper will indeed be home next month.
