Jennifer Lopez could soon find herself in the middle of Diddy’s ongoing legal issues. Attorney Pete Gleason has suggested that the singer might be called to testify in at least two of Diddy’s lawsuits.
J-Lo and Diddy shared a high-profile romance for about two years starting in 1999. Notably, Lopez was present during the infamous 1999 nightclub shooting that left three people injured. Gleason states, “Jennifer Lopez’s presence the night of the shooting incident and then departing in the same vehicle as Combs makes her a witness with firsthand knowledge and could subject her to being subpoenaed to testify under oath.”
Diddy, Lopez, and one of Diddy’s bodyguards were arrested following the incident. While Lopez’s charges were eventually dropped, Diddy and his bodyguard were acquitted in 2001. Shyne, another individual involved, was convicted of assault, reckless endangerment, and gun possession, receiving a ten-year sentence.
Furthermore, Gleason revealed that Lopez might also be called to testify in April Lampros’ lawsuit against Diddy. Lampros has accused the music mogul of sexually assaulting her multiple times while he was in a relationship with Lopez.
As the legal clouds gather over Diddy, it remains to be seen whether Jennifer Lopez will indeed be called to testify. The potential implications for both could be significant.
