Boosie Badazz has some strong opinions on how Diddy could navigate his current controversy.
In a recent interview with VladTV, Boosie Badazz discussed the three possible routes Diddy could take after CNN released footage of him assaulting Cassie in 2016. According to Boosie, Diddy might need to focus on religion, come out as gay, or wait a decade before attempting any sort of comeback.
Boosie elaborated, “I don’t know. It’s a cold world out here. I don’t know. Only God knows,” before bringing up Chris Brown as a point of comparison. When asked if other artists would want to work with Diddy again, Boosie expressed doubt. “I don’t think all of them gonna go to work with him. I’m not doubting his comeback or whatever, but he’s gonna have to do something different. I don’t know what it’ll take.”
He also pointed out that Brown had an easier path to redemption due to the intense admiration he receives from women, whereas Diddy’s situation is complicated further by rumors about his sexuality. “Diddy has allegations of liking d*ck too. He has those allegations also so a lot of straight women who love men are not gonna come see him perform or support him,” Boosie added. “I say his options are let it die down for a decade and try to come back, or go Christian and get saved, or go gay.”
Boosie took a lighter tone when he joked about Diddy’s apology to Cassie, suggesting it might be used as an intro for a future song. “I feel like that was the intro to a song,” he said. “I feel like [in] five years you gon’ hear that on one of his comeback songs… That was an intro.”
In the aftermath of Boosie’s interview, Rolling Stone has released an investigation featuring new allegations against Diddy dating back to his time at Howard University.
It’s clear that Boosie Badazz believes any path forward for Diddy will require significant change and time. Whether through religion, embracing his sexuality, or simply lying low, Diddy’s next steps will be crucial.
